Yard waste collection in Bloomington is a convenient subscription service available to residents with regular garbage and recycling collection. This service operates from the second week of April through the last week of November, weather permitting.

On-Demand Collection:  In addition to the regular yard waste collection service, residents in Bloomington who have City garbage and recycling service have the option to utilize on-call yard waste collection on a per-bag basis. 
To take advantage of on-call yard waste collection, residents can purchase on-call yard waste stickers either in person at the City of Bloomington Finance Department Front Desk or by calling 952-563-8757. Each on-call bag of yard waste must have one sticker affixed to it.
To schedule an on-call collection, please contact Utility Billing at least 48 hours before your desired collection day. The hauler will then collect your yard waste materials on your garbage day. This convenient on-call service allows residents to dispose of their yard waste as needed, offering flexibility and ease of use. Whether you have a small amount of yard waste or occasional cleanup projects, on-call yard waste collection provides a suitable solution for your needs in Bloomington.

  • Keep Caps On: Make sure to keep the caps on plastic bottles and jugs.
