Aspen Waste Systems of Missouri, Inc. is seeking an experienced and qualified Welder/Fabricator to join Aspen’s container shop in National Stockyards, IL.
Aspen Waste Systems is a privately-owned, growing company providing waste and recycling collection services for commercial and residential customers in the St Louis metropolitan area.
What you’ll do:
- Welding/fabrication and repair of a variety of items including waste and recycling containers, and waste vehicle equipment.
- Designing and fabricating equipment and parts.
- Maintaining routine inventory supplies that are used for operating the welding unit via inspection of stocks and ordering fresh stock when required.
- Read and interpret project plans and other written instructions or diagrams to perform assigned tasks.
- Comply with all Safety Requirements to maintain safe work area for you and your co-workers.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years welding and fabrication experience or a 2-year welding diploma or degree program from a community college or technical program or work experience directly related to welding or steel fabrication preferred
- Fabrication experience a plus
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skill
- Mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of industry safety practices
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
