Aspen Waste Systems is hiring a Diesel Mechanic for Aspen’s full-service heavy truck maintenance facility in Ames and Des Moines, IA.
Aspen Waste Systems is a privately-owned, growing, multi-state company that provides waste and recycling collection services for commercial and residential customers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Aspen’s Mechanics perform necessary repairs and inspections to maximize safe and productive operations. This includes performing routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery. The Mechanic will also complete inspections, diagnose and repair engines, hydraulics, suspension, steering systems and brake systems.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualified candidates will have experience in heavy truck diagnostics and repair including: Diesel engines, electrical, suspension, steering, air brakes and hydraulics. Previous experience with refuse equipment is a plus.
